ALMA RAY LANGLEY (USAF Retired) Posted in the Shreveport Times Aug. 17, 2003 BOSSIER CITY, LA 

Memorial service for Al (Ray) Langley, 66 will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, August 18, 2003 at the Hill Crest Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Sunday, August 17, 2003 at the Hill Crest Funeral Home. Mr. Langley entered into rest Friday, August 15, 2003 in Shreveport, La. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force, where he served in Vietnam and received the Air Force Commendation Medal for distinguished service. He was preceded in death by Catherine, his loving wife of forty-five years; his parents, and one brother.

Survivors include his son, Robert R. Langley and wife Pam, of Houston, TX; daughters, Cathy Langley of Little Rock, AR; Bridget Davis and husband John of Shreveport, LA; brothers, Tommy Langley and wife Bonnie, Bill Langley, and Walter Langley, all of Minden, LA; also Robert Langley and wife, Charlotte of Williamsburg, GA; David Langley and wife Faye of Houston, TX; Joe Langley and wife, Alvern of Conway, AR; grandchildren, Eryn and Trey Rasch of Houston, TX; and John Michael and Patrick Davis of Shreveport, LA; brother-in-law, Robert Hughes and wife, Jackie of Bradford, England; sister-in-law, May Hughes of Corby, England; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.Hill Crest Funeral Home. 949-9145  (In the 1995 reunion booklet Alma Ray was working at Barksdale as a weather forecaster. He wrote that he could not find a bumper sticker big enough to tell how he felt about his grandson who would be one year old in October.)
