The HML/HMLA-167 Memorial Fund Board of Directors is
extremely pleased to announce that we are well on our way to meeting the
goal to build and erect a memorial to honor the squadron members who
made the Ultimate Sacrifice while serving with HML/HMLA-167. Thanks to
you and the 169 people who have contributed to the memorial fund to date
and especially those who have made multiple donations, we have surpassed
the 80% mark of meeting the goal. We are very confident that with the
current pledges that have been made and continued fund raising we will
reach our goal.
We have scheduled the dedication for Saturday, March 29,
2014 at 1000 at the Semper Fi Memorial Park in Triangle, VA and, at a
minimum, a welcome aboard “Meet and Greet” at the hotel Friday evening
the 28th. In arranging for this memorable event, plans are being made to
have a Marine Color Guard, Marine Band, Bagpiper, and Bugler participate
in the ceremony.
To ensure that we have made adequate plans for your
attendance and participation, please go to the 167 Memorial Fund website
at, click on the “Register for
Dedication” button on the left of the page, and fill out the Survey
Form. Be sure to include your email address so we can forward additional
information such as Hotel Information and Dedication Events as it become
available. Hope to see you there.
Semper Fi,

Scott B Chellis
