The Lumpkin Family the five girls, Aunt Rae,Aunt Vera Lee,Aunt Helen, Aunt Nettie and Aunt Iris their mother was Nettie Lee Lumpkin. Now hear come the Boys My Father Eugene Lumpkin and Dr. Bill Lumpkin had a different mother. Her name Was Mary Elizabeth Mead. but the Girls Mother died in 1920 in Fisher Louisiana but Mary Elizabeth Mead raised those girls but she had the two Boys, Eugene and Bill.

                              The picture of Granddad cutting the wedding cake is Lillie Dugan Hess, married 7-10-57.                       She died 5-17-89 and is buried in Sibley cemetery. She is mother of Mrs. Lamar( Doris) Clement and grandma of Keitha Clement.

(Note Lamar Clement was a son Vashti Hodges  & Frances Marion Clement. He was their only son. They have a grave plot in the Minden Cemetery that reads Francis Marion Clement 1850-1943, Vashti Hodges 1870-1949). He was their only son. Lamar and Doris Hess had, two daughters, Patsy, who graduated from MHS in 1948. Keitha graduated in 1951. You can also see a pictures of Keitha Clement under Gems of Minden on this site. She was also a majorette during the early fifties.

Dixie Remembers Aunt Lillie's Family

Aunt Lillie and Mr. Lumpkin just loved fishing as most of us from
Louisiana do. I have  a small (4 horsepower?) Johnson boat motor from
the '50s that belonged to Aunt Lillie.

You probably know that Keitha lives at Shreveport. Her sister Patsy
Clement did live in the Rio Grande Valley at Harlingen, Texas.  Patsy is
four years older than Keitha.
