                               Memories Of Minden Football

His favorite memory, of course, was winning the state championship.

One night Roy Baggett and Ronald went to Cotton Valley with
the B team in 1954 to play a football game. It rained all during the
game. Ronald scored the winning touchdown. The score was
7- 0. He didn't remember who kicked the extra point.  If any of
you remember email us and tell us who it was.

Sometimes when the football players would go to town to
get haircuts or to get something to eat the merchants would
not charge them. The business community in Minden loved
the Crimson Tide and supported the football team and the players.

On Saturday mornings after a Friday night football players you
would often find them on the streets of Minden bragging about
how well the players had performed.

You will have to agree that Minden was a great place to grow
up in and a great stadium to play football in
